An Ontario driver’s license can be used in place of passport.
Bring any medical records you have regarding past or present illnesses.
We will take your photo.
After your exam you will go for a chest x-ray (11 years and older) at Kingston Imaging at 797 Princess, unit 422. No appointment is needed.
Then you will go for blood work at LifeLabs next door at 791 Princess St unit 102 (15 years and older). No fasting is required. No appointment is needed.
It will take 1.5 to 2.5 hours to complete everything.
The date of your examination will be used by IRCC for deadline purposes.
Your exam will be sent to IRCC within 10 days.
Make sure you bring all the required documents listed in step 1 and Frequently Asked Questions.
A parent or a legal guardian must accompany applicants under 15.
Before leaving we will provide a copy of your information sheet with your Independent Medical Exam (IME) number and picture on it. You can then track your examination through the IRCC website.
Our fee is $250.00 ($200.000 for under 18) payable by credit or debit.
Fees for x-ray and lab tests are paid separately (see step 4).
All costs for refugees are covered by the IFHP program for a first immigration exam. Subsequent exams are not paid by IFHP and must be paid by the client.
